Our Book A Berth cruises offer sailing at its best – short holidays on a lovely yacht, without the hassle of organising your own charter group.

Our fabulous First 47.7 yachts are in a different league from your average charter or sea-school boat. We typically cruise at 7 or 8 knots - so we can get to places other yachts cannot reach in a weekend, packing in the sea-miles. Our yachts offer huge amounts of space below decks, with headroom of over 2m.

Whether you want to develop or practice particular skills, or simply want the satisfaction of sailing, we can meet your demands. You’ll be sailing under the guidance of an experienced yachtmaster chosen for his/her ability to run a happy ship as well as a safe one. We generally expect people signing up for these cruises to have at least a bit of yachting experience.

If you do have some yachting experience, don't rule out joining us for a race or a regatta, just because you haven't been racing before. There's a first time for everyone.

Because of staffing difficulties, our cruising plans for 2010 are limited to the latter part of the season. So far we are planning:

August
Cowes spectating If you’d like to experience Cowes Week without getting involved in the cut and thrust of the racing, this is your chance. On a couple of days during the regatta, we’re going to cruise the Solent watching the fun. One possibility is that we’ll cruise on the Friday, rounding off the day with dinner at anchor watching the fireworks over Cowes.

Brittany exploration The plan is to spend a week sailing along the north coast of Brittany, sampling the seafood.

September
Thames adventure We’re taking Azzurra to London for a couple of weeks – something that we normally do in the spring. We take our time over the trip, doing the passage each way in three days, with overnights in Brighton and Ramsgate. We’ll be going in to St Katherine’s dock, right next to Tower Bridge – an amazing experience.

We’re still studying the tides to plan the Brittany and Thames trips, so can’t give details yet. If you are interested, get in touch.
