Our Book A Berth cruises offer sailing at its best
– short holidays on a lovely yacht, without the
hassle of organising your own charter group.
Our fabulous First 47.7 yachts are in a different league
from your average charter or sea-school boat. We typically
cruise at 7 or 8 knots - so we can get to places other
yachts cannot reach in a weekend, packing in the sea-miles.
Our yachts offer huge amounts of space below decks, with
headroom of over 2m.
Whether you want to develop or practice particular skills,
or simply want the satisfaction of sailing, we can meet
your demands. You’ll be sailing under the guidance of
an experienced yachtmaster chosen for his/her ability to
run a happy ship as well as a safe one. We generally expect
people signing up for these cruises to have at least a bit
of yachting experience.
If you do have some yachting experience, don't rule out
joining us for a race or a regatta, just because you
haven't been racing before. There's a first time for
everyone.
Our cruising plans for 2009 are limited. So far we are
planning:
June
We’re considering doing a midweek
cruise, maybe to the Channel Islands, for those
who are limited to weekday sailing, or who simply prefer
it. Get in touch if you’re interested.
August
6 and 7 Cowes spectating: if you’d like to experience
Cowes Week without getting involved in the cut and thrust
of the racing, this is your chance. On the Thursday and
Friday of the week we’re going to cruise the Solent
watching the fun, culminating in dinner at anchor watching
the fireworks on Friday evening. Get in touch for more
information
September
We’re considering going to London
for a couple of weeks - something that we normally do in
spring. We do the passage each way in three days, with
overnights in Brighton and Ramsgate. If you’re
interested, get in touch.
