●use of lifejacket
●use of high-quality, breathable waterproof
outer clothing
●mooring costs
●fuel costs.
Breakfast and lunch is normally provided on-board. When in
port overnight, we normally expect guests to have an
evening meal ashore, at their own expense. When sailing
overnight, necessary meals are of course provided.
Booze and meals ashore are normally organised on a kitty
basis. According to the mood of the meeting, you might be
invited to put cash into a kitty. Alternatively, the
skipper or mate will pick up the tabs and then work out who
owes what; any rounds you buy will be recorded, and entered
into the reckoning. In working this out, we take account of
who took part in what gathering, but we don’t
distinguish between those with more or less expensive
tastes. So far, no one has complained about the equity of
these arrangements.
